Warmer weather has us all wandering out of the house more often to do activities outdoors and away from home. It’s a great time to get those wish list ideas flowing! And Giftster is the perfect place to list and share these ideas for the holidays and your birthday. Here are some things to consider for activity and experience wish list items.
People with December birthdays often feel that their special day takes a backseat to all the holidays and festivities. They may not have the parties they would if their birthday was another month. Sometimes, their birthday celebrations are even combined with the holidays themselves. So I have a little challenge for you this June: celebrate your favorite people born in December by celebrating their half-birthday!
The anticipation around the arrival of Baby Sussex has me thinking about all the new babies my family and friends will be welcoming soon. In most cases, I’ve already given a shower gift but depending on how close I am to the family, I may also give a gift when the baby is born. I thought that I’d share some of the gifts I’m considering sending the new little ones, and a few specifically for the new mom and dad as well.
It seems that the older I get, the more I’m forgetting the little things. Those little things used to be easy to remember until I had to replace them with the big things from a teenager, tween, and toddler. When it comes to shopping for some of my everyday items as well as gifts for others, Giftster has become a great memory bank for these fine details.
In February, I was the crochet designer for the Knitcrate Malabrigo Partner Crate! I love working with the amazing team over at Knitcrate, and loved the theme for this crate: Good Vibes Only. And the vibes I felt through the entire design process were just that! The crates included two skeins of Malabrigo Mechita in one of my favorite colorways, Anniversario.
I have a confession to make. One of the best Valentine’s Day gifts I’ve ever given was actually given to someone who was not my significant other. It wasn’t given to anyone in my family. In fact, it wasn’t given to anyone that I had any romantic involvement with. It was given to my co-worker, Chris, about 15 year ago, and to this day, it’s still one of my FAVORITE stories to tell!
January to us at Giftster means an opportunity to get a jump on giving great gifts all year! Spending a little time taken today can save you a lot of gift giving stress in the weeks to come. Here’s what I’m doing today to get my Giftster ready for the rest of 2019.
...and my not-so-nimble fingers have been working up ornaments and gifts. Due to some unexpected circumstances, I have been trying to hand make as many gifts as possible this year. I will hopefully share them with you next week as I don’t want to spoil the surprise for others. At the same time, my queue has gotten deeper from the Indie Gift-A-Long, I published a new pattern a couple weeks ago, and I’m trying to sort out what my priorities will be for 2019. Not busy...nope...not in the least bit!!
It’s the last weekend before Christmas! Are you relaxing, enjoying time with family, because you used Giftster and all your shopping is finished? Or are you braving the store lines, choosing overnight shipping, and hoping for the best? If you’re using Giftster, we’ve got your back! Here are my 6 do’s and don’ts for last minute Christmas shopping that help you continue to get gifts right.
While some may think that making a wish list is saying, “hey – give me stuff,” it’s really quite the opposite. Making and sharing gift wish lists is a great organized communication tool to help guide those who love you to useful, needed, and wanted gifts. This group of people will almost always give you something during the holidays, and the last thing they want to do is give you a gift that you find not useful, needed, or wanted.
While gift giving is top of mind for most people during the holiday season, it’s on our minds year-round at Giftster. On top of wanting to take the stress out of your holiday gift giving, we also want to alleviate that stress throughout the year, making Giftster perfect for birthdays, weddings, baby showers, graduations, and more. And a big part of making all this successful is groups.
Today is Giving Tuesday, a global movement focused on charitable giving and getting involved in your community. But donating to your favorite charity can go beyond this special day. Your Giftster wish list is the perfect place to list the causes you care most about so others can make a gift donation in your name.
BREAKING NEWS – Thanksgiving comes BEFORE Christmas: How to make sure Christmas doesn’t take over Thanksgiving
With all the talking I do about Giftster, you might think that Christmas is my favorite holiday. The truth is that Thanksgiving holds that place in my heart and, like many others, I’m sad that my favorite holiday sort of gets pushed aside during this time of year. Here we are in November with Halloween just ending, and retailers are already decking the halls.
